“RELAX! & ‘REST’ IN JESUS!”

Trying, trying, trying
trying ~ oh, so hard,
To please our Lord & Savior
always on our guard!
Afraid that we will ‘miss it’
so we don’t ‘relax’,
‘Resting’ in our Savior
Who has ALL the facts.
The fact that we are ‘helpless’
‘unlearned’ & in ‘need’,
And He’s ‘waiting’ just to help us *
if we’ll just ‘sign the deed’!
The deed to ‘OUR will only’
~ over to His Will,
Then ~ He can give to us
‘Joy’ & ‘Peace be still’.
Finally our hearts ‘resting’
in His ‘FINISHED’ WORK,
So we can ‘enjoy’ HIM
instead of feeling like a jerk.
Never feeling ‘good enough’
striving the ‘wrong’ way,
Needing ‘wisdom’ from The Master
so ‘burn-out’ won’t come today.
“Be perfect & holy My Children” *
our Master teaches us,
But we try our best to be ‘flawless’
& raise a great big fuss.
Counting on our ‘works’
to ‘do’ & ‘do’ & ‘do’,
Letting ‘fear’ take over
forgetting that it was: ‘YOU’!
Yes, ‘You’ ~ dear Lord Jesus
Who paid ALL the ‘price’,
The One Who will come & Lead us *
if we take Your advice.
